Standard Terms for Website Design Services

Introduction

This document outlines our standard Data Processing Addendum that forms part of our agreement with clients for website design services. When you engage our services, a version of this addendum will be provided for your specific acceptance.

1. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1 Our clients are the "data controller" for any personal data processed through their website.

1.2 Our role as Service Provider is limited to:

• Designing and implementing website content as directed by the client
• Setting up third-party forms or mailto links as requested by the client
• Providing design and development services only

1.3 We are NOT responsible for:

• Hosting the website or associated infrastructure
• Processing or storing any website visitor data
• Ongoing maintenance unless separately contracted
• The data protection compliance of third-party services embedded in the website
• The content or accuracy of privacy policies or cookie notices

2. LIMITED DATA PROCESSING

2.1 We do not process website visitor personal data at any point.

2.2 We may temporarily have access to a client's hosting account during initial setup but will not retain access credentials after project completion unless specifically agreed.

2.3 Any third-party forms (e.g., Tally.so, Jotform or any other platform) embedded in the website are the responsibility of the client, who should have appropriate agreements with these providers.

3. SECURITY MEASURES

3.1 We implement reasonable security measures during development, including:

• Secure handling of any temporary access credentials
• Following web security best practices in design and development
• Secure transfer of website files

4. PROJECT COMPLETION

4.1 Upon project completion, we delete any temporary files containing client content.

4.2 The client assumes full responsibility for ongoing website operation and data protection compliance.

5. TERM AND TERMINATION

5.1 This Addendum remains in effect for the duration of the design services.

This is our standard Data Processing Addendum. Each client will receive a personalised version for their specific project that requires explicit acceptance before work begins.
